Hi everyone! I am happy to present you a brand new look on Dane-DeHaan.org! I hope you like it, as I’ve been working really hard on it. Of course there are a few things that I want to add and change to make it look even better, so I guess the sky is the limit. I hope you like the new slider header than we have. It has few really cute Dane’s photos featured, as well as a quick navigation to our pages and networks. Stayed tuned for more amazing things coming, and thanks for staying with me and supporting this website, and Dane himself of course!
I always get excited when we get to see outtakes from any of Dane’s photoshoots and portraits sessions, as well as when we find better quality photos. Dane is always an amazing model, so no one can judge me for getting too excited, right? Today we are lucky to enjoy new HQ outtakes from Dane’s Life After Beth Sundance 2014 portrait session for Los Angeles times. He is just so adorable!
I was also able to get HQ versions of Dane’s “Flaunt” 2012 photoshoot. This is one of my favorite Dane’s photoshoots ever, so I was definitely happy to get the photos in better quality. Hope you will enjoy them as well:
Australian writer-director Diesel Schwarze, a protege of Baz Luhrmann, is partnering with Electric City Entertainment to develop his debut feature film, an original musical Ziggy. Dane DeHaan and Rooney Mara are attached to star in the pic, which centers on a hunchback escape artist (DeHaan) who arrives in New York during the mass-culture boom of the late 1920s. As he falls in love with the fiancé (Mara) of a powerful media mogul, the story charts Ziggy’s rise to fame and subsequent fall amid a romantic world crashing down on its own impossible idealism.
The filmmakers have paired with British music producer and songwriter Alex Da Kid to develop original contemporary music for the pic. He has collaborated with Eminem, Dr. Dre, Rihanna, Imagine Dragons and Nicki Minaj among others.
Diesel worked under Baz Luhrmann during Moulin Rougeand La Boheme on Broadway, and this project certainly seems to have the scope and flair of his Aussie compatriot.
“Ziggy is one of the most unique scripts I’ve ever read,” said Lynette Howell, who is producing with Electric City partner Jamie Patricof. “Diesel has written an incredibly beautiful and ambitious story and his background working under Baz Luhrmann combined with his prolific commercial work, lends itself to bringing this story to life in a visually inspired and exciting way.
CAA and WME will rep the film’s domestic distribution rights.

Over recent weeks, in addition to our coverage of the fall festivals, we’ve been indulging in what’s become our annual orgy of prognostication, our On The Rise series. We expanded the remit this year, including more picks in each category as well as more categories. We looked at the Actors, Actresses, Screenwriters, Cinematographers, Composers, Directors and Actors Under 20 we believe are going to be Big Things in the coming months and years, and there’s been quite some heartache, recrimination and frosty pointed silences round the Playlist dinner table as a result.
Many of those arguments spring from the tricky business of walking the line between people we think are inevitably going to be big stars no matter what and those we really want to see getting more work, which is not always one and the same. It’s been a difficult balance to strike over time, though we think we’ve done a pretty good job. At least we hope we have. It occurred to us along the way that perhaps a good way of keeping ourselves honest would be to look back at previous years’ picks and see how right or wrong we got it.
And so for the first time this year, we’re rounding off On The Rise 2014 by looking back at On The Rise 2012. That’s not so long ago, but since the names we chose were those we judged to be on the cusp of bigger things, by now the proof should be in the pudding. In some cases, our pick have become so embedded in the public consciousness, it’s hard to believe that they were only regarded as “rising” a couple of years ago. Others, not so much, but those cases are interesting for a whole different reason. So here we go: who did us proud, who faltered and who, two years on, remains a “who?” in Hollywood?
2012 Actors On The Rise Picks: Diego Boneta, Dane DeHaan, Dave Franco, Domhnall Gleeson, Frank Grillo, Daniel Kaluuya, Logan Marshall-Green, Scoot McNairy, Rafe Spall, Sullivan Stapleton.
…Dane DeHaan, Domhnall Gleeson and Dave Franco have had pretty impressive trajectories the last few years. DeHaan went from 2012’s “Chronicle,” “Lawless” and “The Place Beyond the Pines” to juggling leads in smaller indies with his supporting role as Harry Osborne in the “Amazing Spider-Man” series. 2015 will see him star in “Tulip Fever” alongside fellow breakouts Alicia Vikander and Jack O’Connell, and Anton Corbijn’s “Life,” in which he’ll play no less a personage than James Dean opposite Robert Pattinson.

Paparazzi spotted Dane watching Serena Williams of the US play Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark during the women’s final match on the fourteenth day of the 2014 US Open Tennis Championship at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York, USA, 07 September 2014. I am totally loving his new hairstyle and his look overall. Make sure to check new images below!
It’s been a while since I’ve last updated the site. I’ve missed my lovely Dane fans, and hopefully I am finally free and can update as often as I used to :)
I have a small present for all my visitors: I replaced several old low quality Dane’s photoshoots with HQ versions: a real improvement, if you ask me. You can now appreciate Dane’s beauty in it’s full mode. Enjoy:
